Terms of Service (TOS)
1. BASIC TERMS
- Each fursuit is an original handmade artwork. Small imperfections or variations may occur.
- Use only USB-C power banks with 5 V output and up to 3 A, capacity 10,000–20,000 mAh. Higher voltage will permanently damage the Protogen.
- We work in our own style, which may evolve over time.
- We do not copy other makers or existing characters.
- We do not create NSFW or politically motivated fursuits. Clients may use the fursuit for NSFW content, but we ask not to be tagged.
- We will not create: fursuit copies, magnetic feetpaws soles, closed species, LED tails, or other unsafe electronics in fur.
- To confirm you read the ToS, include the secret word “Hornet”.
- We are not responsible for injuries, overheating, or health issues that may occur while wearing a fursuit.
- Fursuits are not designed for sports, extreme weather, or long continuous use.
2. REFERENCES AND DESIGN
- A proper reference sheet is required: clean lines, no gradients, high resolution.
- Must include front, back, and side view. Details like paws, teeth, tongue, or ears should be visible or described in text.
- AI generated references are not accepted.
- Before sewing begins, markings are drawn on the pattern for approval. After approval, no changes can be made to the fur.
- If you request changes after approval, you must cover additional costs for materials and labor.
- If the species changes significantly (example: wolf → Protogen), a completely new fursuit will be charged.
- Colors must be discussed and approved in advance.
- Minor color differences caused by lighting or display are not valid grounds for complaints.
- We keep artistic freedom to ensure the best fit and look for your fursuit.
3. COMMUNICATION AND UPDATES
- Communication must remain polite and professional. Harassment, stalking, shaming, threats, racism, or discrimination will not be tolerated.
- Updates and photos are sent through the main agreed channel (Telegram, Instagram, Twitter, Discord).
- WIP photos are provided after major stages are finished. Frequent “is it done yet?” messages delay production.
- Secret projects are listed on Trello with one chosen social media tag agreed with the client.
- We reserve the right to take and store photos of finished suits, even for secret projects.
- If the client does not respond for 3+ months after reminders, the project may be paused or moved to the end of the queue.
4. PRICES AND PAYMENTS
- Prices are not negotiable.
- Quotes are valid for 1 month but do not guarantee a production slot.
- A project begins only after the first payment is received. The slot is then confirmed and added to Trello.
- Preferred currency is EUR. Other currencies must match the EUR value at the current rate.
- Accepted payment methods: Revolut, Wise, bank transfer, PayPal (+10% fee).
- To start a commission, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required. Flexible payment plans are available for the remaining balance.
- The fursuit will not be shipped or handed over until fully paid.
5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clients must provide accurate body measurements. Incorrect measurements are not accepted as a reason for complaint.
- The client must provide all necessary information and references on time, otherwise the project may be delayed.
- We are not responsible for allergic reactions to used materials.
- The client is responsible for proper maintenance. Incorrect care (machine washing, chemicals, storing in damp conditions) can damage the fursuit and is not covered by warranty.
- Basic maintenance instructions are available in the FAQ section.
6. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATION
- The 30% deposit is non-refundable once materials are purchased.
- If the suit is 70–100% complete, no refunds are given.
- If the client requests changes after markings are approved, they must cover both materials and extra labor.
- Unauthorized cancellation means all work and materials remain our property, with no refund.
- If the client does not pay the balance within 1 year of completion (or longer if agreed), the suit becomes our property, will be altered, and sold to another buyer.
- If the client refuses to accept the finished suit, it will be shipped again. If not collected the second time, the fursuit becomes our property.
7. SHIPPING AND HANDOVER
- All packages are shipped with tracking and insurance.
- All customs or import fees for shipping or repairs must be paid by the client, even though we try to minimize them.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage during shipping.
- For repairs, packages must be marked REPAIR AND RETURN, otherwise customs fees fall to the client.
- For personal handover, the client must inspect the suit at pickup. After handover, complaints about condition or appearance will not be accepted.
8. REPAIRS AND WARRANTY
- Includes 6 months of free repairs for production-related defects (shipping excluded).
- The fursuit must be clean before repair, otherwise it may be returned or cleaning fees charged.
- For extremely dirty fursuits, we reserve the right to refuse repair.
- Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage from rough handling.
- Any third-party modifications void the warranty.
- If repairs require significant extra materials, the client must cover material costs.
9. USAGE AND PHOTOGRAPHY
- We may use photos and videos of finished work for portfolio, website, and social media.
- Photos of the finished fursuit also serve as proof of completion in case of disputes.
- The client may freely share and publish photos of their fursuit.
10. FINAL PROVISIONS
- We reserve the right to change these Terms of Service at any time. The valid version is always the one in effect when the commission was confirmed.
- By commissioning, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
- To confirm you have read the ToS, include the secret word Hornet at the beginning of your message and add ⚡ emoji at the end.
